Mehrdad Samet Tehrani (b. 1956 in Tehran, Iran) is a French-Iranian artist based in Nancy, France.

He received his foundational training from Tehran University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1978. He continued his studies in Paris, receiving a Master of Arts from Sorbonne University in 1991. He later earned a Ph.D. in the Philosophy & Science of Art from the University of Sorbonne in 2006, with his dissertation titled, "Philosophie de la couleur persane" (Philosophy of Persian color).

His work has been featured in a number of notable exhibitions, including Seyhoun Art Gallery (1979) and the Salon des Indépendants at Grand Palais (1983).
